Custom Mouldings and Cabinetry

Appalachian Millworks & Cabinetry offers a wide range of stair components. Formerly working as a custom vendor for a larger stair company has given us an advantage over most competitors in this area. We have jigs and tooling for a large assortment of rail fittings, starting steps, box newels and related components. We offer a dozen different rail profiles, with fittings available for 6 of them. All of these components are available in a wide variety of hardwoods, domestic and imported.

We can provide curved landing tread and handrail sets, from either a template made onsite, CAD drawing, or description with radius and cord length. By digitizing a paper template, we are able to smooth out the bumps and baubles in the rough subfloor or sheetrock, and still provide a well-fitting set.    

As an added service, Appalachian Millworks & Cabinetry will fabricate pre-assembled staircases in many instances, saving time and mess on the job, and resulting in a better fitting, quieter, more solid installation. While not a provider of production turnings, we can reproduce small quantities of turned balusters or newels, if you happen to be missing a few.
